    If the Helmet has come from Dim amd Aleks you can be sure of its originality, i know them well and they are great guys and all their gear is 100 % original,

    Many things could have made that damage , Artillery shrapnel,Katyushas,Mortars , hit over the head by something heavy in close combat..............

    it dosnt look like damage just looks like a scratch.
    must of been a hard hit to crack steel though!

    well, this looks more like a stress crack. Doesn't happen frequently with German helmets, but sometimes it does. These cracks or splits just appear, the helmet mustn't have been armed at all. It can also originate from a hit, though, but as said, not necessarily.

    hi olaf thanks for your opinion, being in germany do you see many german helmets,and i know the swastika is banned so what would happen over there if you wore one?do you own any german items

    Paragraph 88 of the german law- you can get a couple of years prison
