If the Helmet has come from Dim amd Aleks you can be sure of its originality, i know them well and they are great guys and all their gear is 100 % original,

hi yes im glad the issue of the decal has been solved.i lke the helmet wonder how or what damaged it during battle?

Many things could have made that damage , Artillery shrapnel,Katyushas,Mortars , hit over the head by something heavy in close combat..............

it dosnt look like damage just looks like a scratch.
must of been a hard hit to crack steel though!

Dear Andrew,

well, this looks more like a stress crack. Doesn't happen frequently with German helmets, but sometimes it does. These cracks or splits just appear, the helmet mustn't have been armed at all. It can also originate from a hit, though, but as said, not necessarily.
