SS mdl 40 SD

This is a single decal model 40.
Maker ET size 64. It has been double decaled one original over another during the war. Chinstrap tape repaired by the vet after the war. I have left it as is.

A clearer picture of the decal is in order, but from what I see, I like it! I have a reissue M40 SS as well, and think that these helmets, worn by those who were in the thick of it, scream history! Nice piece! Jim G.

Can't get a better picture at the moment. I am in the middle of moving to a new home. Helmet is in a stack of about 50 + WWII german helmets underneath boxes of visor caps and a bunch of other junk. These are older photos I found on an old floppy disc.
I will get a better pic sometime in the near future.
