SS Steel Helmets
Didnt read the time waster bit, very interesting
Looking for German Normandy and DAK Militaria
Militaria for sale at my Quicksales store in Australia, PM me for the link!
Look at the sellers feedback on Fleabay; he has sold loads of relic lids. This one looks fine to me, and judging on the other stuff he has sold. Would like to see a close up of the decal though.
If you look at his feedback you'll find out where he bought it and for how much !!

Hi,
For me the helmet look ok but thats my thoughts on it, as i collect battlefield relic helmets among other military items. i am going by the patina in the metal, and the same patina in the bullet strike i have helmets that have the same type of damage where the round has gone through sideways on a spin. so this is nothing unusual in relics
but you must make your own mind up. Best of luck.

Nothing wrong with the helmet itself Dave it's the decal thats the issue and better photos are needed !!

Hi,
I agree Paul, it does need better pics of the decal, i was answering more about the pickaxe strike from Talltom,
but most helmets buried for many years loose the paint and leave partial decals left, but it,s his call.

IMO the decal is "touched up". Either in real life or in photo shop. I think 210 Euro is too much. SS decal or not. I have a M42 relic helmet without the extra "bonus" hole for about half the price...

I have a lot Soviet post war and some WW2 items for sale in the Classifieds section. I also have some TR/Soviet helmets and relics for sale.
Hi Datrus,
210, is a lot of money for a relic, as they said SS or not, nice helmet but i would pass on it for the price.
