Whether transitional or not, I don't like the look of the pitting in helmet under the paint.

What's with the blue outline around the edges of both shields and lightning bolts. Repainted too. Shame.

I hope someone didnt pay too much for that, it certainly has been repainted over a rusting shell

a poor attempt at faking a rare helmet. Real amateur work. Even if you have a lack of knowledge of the fake decals, the pitting on the shell is a dead giveaway. It may be a bringback but not from WW2! Maybe a bringback from a gun show.

Excellent, i wasn't happy with the pitting myself but the old chap maintains he's had it since a child so thats what i put up for consideration, thanks for your input.
He's a liar, a pillow over the face for as long as it takes you to hum the 2nd stanza from Greig's 'Morning' from Peer Gynt should be sufficient.....
