Default Twas the Night Before ChristmaSS

Twas the Night Before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that SS Santa soon would be there.

The dads were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of helmets danced in their heads.
Transitionals, camo's and of all kids of caps,
to be under the tree, maybe...perhaps?

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
RoyA drunk out of his mind yelling "Have a Great Year".

I looked to the tree and what was all wrapped.
2 boxes that looked like inside helmets were trapped,
    Could RoyA really be SSanta?
Cant be, then I am married to Princess Diana.....

I opened the boxes and what did appear?
3 helmets, 2 caps, and badges, oh dear!
A tranny, a camo, and a nice black SS,
And a one looker crusher of General rank no less!

A camo SS whose maker is Q,
Published and pretty, this calls for a brew!
I am happy, no, smiling a lot
Because a Camo Q SS helmet is what I have got!....

The next box is heavy, inside a nice period piece,
A transitional helmet made for the police.
A great double decal with a very nice strap,
A hope I dont lose it among all the gift wrap

An Austrian tranny, a killer re-issue,
It brings tears to my eyes, good thing I have tissue.
Nice liner, nice paint, the decals are great,
Must open more boxes before its too late....

It's on to the next box, this one is real light,
From the tag on the box its an international flight.
I open the box and smile with glee,
A crusher, a general, no this cannot be!

I have waited for this my whole entire life,
I'd trade for this with my car or my wife! (just kidding honey...)
Flat wire wreath, nice sewn insignia,
Having this cap is like climbing Olympia!

Onto the next cap, its an officers black,
I cant believe my eyes, giving my head a good whack!
A textbook black cap, made by maker A. Mueller,
Who now is in hand of a collector named Buhler.

A perfect black tag, a nice RZM stamp,
A stunning washed Deschler, from a work camp.
And named on the sweatband, I wonder to who,
I wonder what you saw, what was your point of view?

The final box now open and what was inside?
A jet black transitional of which I take pride.
Because black is addictive, of this I confess,
Marked to IV Deutschland, of the SS.

The rarest battalion from the SS-VT,
Deutschland Erwache, come and look, see!
This matches my banners, the "Trumpet" and "Johnnie",
D IV SS - come to me Mommy!

Then I saw him, SS Santa, as he sprang to his sleigh,
Holy crap, It Cant Be...It is really Roy A!!! (GHW Mod and great friend of mine)
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good-Night!"

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Not sure what you went through with your son mate but the fact that you say he is cleared sounds good and definitely sounds like something worth celebrating! Visa bills, hmmm.......I'd like to get a hold of the bloke who invented visa cards and do him a mischief, I love the idea of buying things with money I don't have but the idea that it should be paid back is somehow offensive, is it just me?
