Another Danziger Skull

The draw to these earlier pattern skulls is still too strong for me to resist. I just picked up this nicely worn version from our friend across the lake. This is the type of skull that even the naysayers on the maroon forum cannot dispute as authentic. The thick blunt prongs, the distinctive silver frosting over Tombac that almost appears white and the natural worn patina. These have come up in price over the last two years but still within the affordable range.
I'll post it in detail when it arrives.

Thanks Santi, Italy was fantastic. Venice, Murano, Burano, Milan and even a train ride through the Swiss Alps. Exquisite architecture, views, great people, food and wine. Best drivers on land and on seas. Those Milan Taxi drivers and Venice water taxi's are among the most skilled. Nothing much in the form of military history but maybe I'll post a thread in the other interests area with some photo's. Nothing compared to the marvelous history excursion you provided from your journey to Germany.

The skull has been squashed somewhat to fold around the schiffchen but the large circular eyes leave no doubt it's this bugger

The latest skull arrived and it did not disappoint. It has just the right amount of wear for that "been there" look. I paired it with a Large political eagle often seen on early SS caps, but who knows where this TK was actually worn
