Dutch Germanic SS cap wolfhook

Hello all,

New here on the forum. I've recently started collecting again after a few years "retirement". Mainly focusing on Dutch collaboration material, i'm slowly starting to build a new collection.

Wanted to share this metal wolfhook insignia used by the Nederlandsche / Germaansche SS as a cap insignia instead of the standard deaths head. Hope you like it, i'd appreciate any comments.

Yes, it looks like the tip was broken off at some point and soldered back on. It looks like an old repair so it might have been period done, but it's hard to tell...

Which should, obviously, read "instead of the standard eagle above the deaths head"

From volume 4 "Headgear of Hitler's Germany", the chapter about SS
included for example also the Netherlands and Belgium.
Shown Henk Feldmeyer, the "Voorman" from the Nederlandsche SS,
as well as a great visored cap from the Henk van den Berg-collection, shown on
page 166 from the mentioned book.

p.s I don't want to break the dynamic of this thread but the skull on that visor (scan) is again a fake.
