    Yes, there are other types of attachment for the pins.

    OK , here it goes ;

    There are in fact 4 different markings of M1/8 , and 2 additional variations of SS codes , all for CUPAL Wagner eagles alone .. !

    By far the most common to find is the one shown above , where in fact the " 1 " has been left out , making it " M/8 " .

    The reverse Splinte / pins on this type are always soldered straight onto the eagle .

    2nd marking has the " 1 " correctly in place , so a full " M1/8 " marking , which is compact and : Horizontal .

    Again , pins always soldered straight onto the eagle .

    This one has the full " M1/8 " marking slanted , a bit further apart and :

    always has these typical OVAL FEET .. !

    These should be placed in little protruding ridges / edges that are part of the eagle reverse - I will get back to that later , they are important ..

    Now for the last M1/8 Cupal variation , the one with a semi-solid reverse .
    This is by far the rarest one of all , and I only acquired one last week .
    Few were ever seen , but one of them was also found in the vet. bringbacks of our own M16fan - these are definitely real .. !
    Always with " crimped " Splinte on reverse .

    In fact , apart from the marking M1/8 it is fully identical to the last Cupal Wagner eagle :

    The SS contract " SS475/39 " , also a very rare one ..

    Finally , for those of you who really want to get into this , there were 2 different marking types of the SS475/39 - notice the " 7 " slash or no slash , and the different designs of " 3 " .
    And yes , I wanted to get both of these as well ..

    Now , to get back to these " oval feet " ; there is a nasty REPRO that features these as well , quite well done .

    They just do not have the little ridges around them , so take a good look at those . The front is completely wrong , so not a great threat . These have been around for a long time though , so take care .. !
