first pattern tradition totenkopf verification

Article about: Hello all, Natalie here. I'm aware that this is not a form of SS insignia, but I thought that this post would prove to be much more fruitful if I posted it here. Apologies in advance if this

    I guess the whole "berlin hoard" debate will never leave anyone with a definitive answer.
    Finding authentic militaria at flea markets has gotten harder and harder;
    I used to collect solely gas masks, and could find a good selection of quality wehrmacht masks hanging about, around 2 years ago. Now it seems that all there is left is GP5's and other Soviet dime-a-dozens.
    Either way, Mat and I picked up a few things of interest, and hope we'll find more before we leave.
    Thank you all!

    To be sure, in the years since unity in 1990, Berlin has returned to its former state of being dug up, whereby many things from the past have come to light. Robin Lumsden convinced me that surely some of these badges are authentic, since I greatly trust his view on the matter. He does not post here anymore, which is quite sad. Most extraordinary was the discovery of pieces from the decadent art display of 1936 or so which ended up in the sand and mud around the Rotes Rathaus by some twist of fate and were unearthed in last few years.

    Berlin is a remarkable place.

    Natalie: I thought maybe you'd want to check out this link. At times they talk about the "Berlin hoard." Very interesting.

    It's a shame that Mr. Robin Lumsden doesn't post here.
