It is authentic, some of the early Danzigers skulls had large flat prongs.

In fact I think it's the same exact skull posted by Sid
Good totenkopf?
Indeed, I owned It once, and yes It is original of course.
Thank you colleagues for the feedback !!!
The collecting world is sometimes very small.
Indeed it is. I run across the same skulls all the time being sold from one collector to another. It happened to me recently when I saved a photo of a cupal Overhoff skull as a nice reference photo from the Telesmanich website. Then I bought it from another website without realizing it was the same one until i photographed it again and realized it had the same wear patterns despite how different it looked depending on who took the picture.
Ha ha , I know exactly what you mean ;
About a year ago , I found the only skull I was still looking for ( an Alu Overhoff ) on a Dutch website - and what a nice one at that .. !
It was sold , I was too late , but then it was being shown off at the WAF forum .
I recognized some of the specific features - even when the picture was not very good .
The owner did not want to sell , the horror ..
Then he sold it to a German dealer , who put it on his website .
Would I not have recognized my lost baby = all the little scratches & spots on this Alu Overhoff - I would never have bought it from THIS picture .. !
THEN , mind you ,
it got LOST in the mail for 3 ( ! ) months before it finally reached its rightful designation .
Can you imagine the stress and anxiety - waiting for an item like this , possibly stolen ?
In a way , that is what collecting is all about IMO - every item has a story .. !
( meaning of this last picture of course is : which one would you choose ? )
