I blundered onto the full story at the other site. Said person should be subjected to generalized censure. I, too, do not buy anything on ebay and have not for a great long while.
FB, I am now big time fed up with fools and dishonest and disrespectful person like this John Crabbe from Columbus OH.
I called Ebay US yesterday and reported this person, and if this can be a normal way on Ebay that someone is the highest bidder and you pay, and still the seller can cancel your purchase. Right now I take a brake from collecting, maybe my brain is getting recovered.
I will sell some items now as I am for right now done.
all the best,
I understand. Such behavior is disgusting. But such larceny is also the norm especially with these odd badges. Good luck and I hope you get your money back, too.
Let us hope this person does not befoul our spaces here.
Also, I would not sell something because of this experience, although I know the feeling.
I sold my whole collection once out of a disappointment, and later spent a fortune buying most of it back at many, many times the sale price.
A sad state of affairs, what a creep the seller was, one to avoid in the future. A shame you cannot make him stick to the deal he made, if you still wanted it.
Whatever its just an opinion.
This thread should really be in the cap badge section of the SS rubric.
I say Pfui auf this bad person, whose name I shall not cite a second time.
After 4 days still dont have my money back from Paypal.
So I send Mr. CRABBE an email:
I hope to get the money from Paypal soon back on my bank account.
I also will contact Paypal regarding your false tricky behavior, Ebay US is already informed.
Next step will to contact possible also the local police in Columbus OH.
When you think you can play with me I will do the same for you.
Also good to have your address in any other cases.
You are a big fool in the collecting community and will warn any other collector about what you did.
Good luck. I hope you are successful. You have lived in the US, so you know your way with such things. Maybe someone here is in Columbus, Ohio?
Pfui auf ihn!
