Is it SS ?
In the pitcure you can se Gottfrid Klingeman wearing a strange scull at Bad Tölz.

Other than those under Klingemann's and Hausser's hairdos, I am not aware of any skulls in this image.

Lol it Does look like a big skull in the shadows of the blurry photo, but I Believe that it's simply a Sports badge...

I agree that it's a DRL Sportabzeichen...I think it's being mistaken as a Legion Condor Panzertruppen Skull...But he wasn't in the Legion...

It reminds me a bit of a nearby town's high school football mascot. For years, I saw the banners and thought their mascot was a penguin, until someone pointed out that it was really a charging a football player and his arm was the penguin's "beak."
