Have bought this as an original WWII release on the WAF forum. Seller is sure of originality. However, there have been several remarks about this variant is probably post war. Would be very thankfulness for your input, since I do not have knowledge of the subject

For some collectorst this is orginal Assman skull.
For me not but as I always wrote I could be wrong.
I have several Assman skulls but none is looking as showing above
No Ges Gesch signature and strange pins as on other orginal Assmans skulls
This type of pins what i know i saw in Latvian type SS skull (two pins)and some panzer Herr skull but not in other SS skulls
I also never seen this type of skull witch natural patin .
They always looks almost brand new
But this is my personal opinion

These are fine in my opinion. Look at the material used with the "lines" in the metal and the oxidised silver wash finish typical of late war zinc badges.

I have written a thread about them here:

Controversial SS cap skull: 3 edge prong design

    Cheers, Ade.

I think this is good example to compare also late war Assman.
Second one (on this pics gold ) is,,regular,, Assman.
Pls compare back this late war Assman witch this posted by you.
They could change prongs type but not change the whole philosophy how stamped skulls.
Also as wrote previously this is my personal opinion

These are for me also original, I had one grounddug found by a friend some years back, that is prove enough to me. The details are too good in front to be an old fake. This skull is also found on the known "alteste" fake caps with the original late war Assmann eagle. This type of attachments are also found on other eagle's and badges.
When I defended this piece years back nobody wouldn't belive It except some collector's and now you can find them for sale on well known militaria sellers. These are some other picture's of grounddugs from my database.

This is a 3-pronger I once had, look at the details on the teeth, also the remaining silver wash It has. For me It's a no-doubt original late war piece.
