    Thanks. I find the whole "maker" thing to be very over wrought. I just want the stupid things to be real, and of the right era for the cap; that is, not a crappy zinc stinker on a cap made in 1934 or something. Otherwise, es ist mir scheissegal.

    You are right, no one has told me to do anything. Nor would I do something as stupid, if someone here told me to do so. What does transpire is an endless fuss over random differences in these badges which results in vandalism to them by others and well known to me.

    "Experts" don't need to put them off to know which makers they are.
