SS Cap Buttons 1194/40 and 1194/39

Hi gents,

Pictured are 3 cap buttons front and back side. I know that the 1194/40 is a fake. I see some differences in the 1194/40 stamping and the rim but the skull looks simulair to the others and I can't see any difference in the pebbling. So my question is how to recognized a fake item. Pictured left the fake, middle Dachau made, right Aluminium button.

The two originals are fine and smoothly done, the fake has a lot of different pebbling, you just have to look better. The pebbling is also more deeply cast. The sutureline is deeper in the fake etc.

Manny thanks for the info, I've noticed now the inconsistency in the pebbling, etc.
Now I know were to look at. Sometimes it's good to have a fake one to compare
with the Original ones.
