Ss cap eagle – help needed

    Default Ss cap eagle – help needed

    Hello everyone,

    Can any Forum member offer an opinion on this cap eagle. It is die struck from very thin pressed metal and has suffered some damage to the pins etc. It would appear to have a thin silver wash applied with the underlying metal tarnished and showing through.

    It has stamped on the reverse RZM / what could be 89L / and possibly 35.

    I have looked at other examples posted on the Forum but cannot make a judgement, due to the fact that I am an RAF collector with no knowledge of German militaria!

    Any help will be most gratefully received.

    By the photos I'd say a good CupAl 394/35 eagle. As far as I know maker unknown, some believe this was made by Deschler.
