what do you guys think about my set?
the eagle is a M1/72 and the skull is a Deschler

From the photos, both appear to be fine originals. They are mismatched in terms of material and finish, but very nice examples, regardless.

Did they come together?

no they didn't came together, it's been a long searching for both individually

Looks like a nice set, cupal Zimmermann and alu Deschler.

This top cap has organic badges, to wit: Zimmerman Hoheitszeichen and a Deschler alu. badge. Often the badges on the cap themselves come from different makers, in fact. It is really the exception when they do not. The second cap has all Deschler neusilber badges.

Our friend's badges here are nice ones, and so very difficult to find, surely,

Very good memory! I had not made the connection, but I now recall this skull and the reasons for my previous skepticism.

I came to accept the unusual nose as an original variation and the messed up crimps as a repair, but I still would like to get a high-resolution image of the front to see what is up with those odd patches of what looks like excess material.
