Very nice. I think the M1/52 is my favourite variety of Totenkopf. I like their details, and their 'expression', which seems to differ with each type.
I assume when new this would have had a silver finish?

Yes It has normally a silver finnish. You can see some traces of It. This one has never been in collector's hand.
I thought so. Is there a reason why they didn't just produce them from a cheap silver metal? Also, what do you mean by 'never been in collector's hand'? Just curious.

The last price I saw quoted for one sold was £250, which apparently was relatively cheap. I think it was another kind to this though. The different kinds of Totenkopf of course have different values, and condition factors into things as usual.

SS skulls go from 500 to 1500$, depending on the rarity, material and condition.

I really like that new one. Are these both of the same metal? It's interesting to see the differences in colouration.

The one on the left is the early Deschler ('34) in Nickel-silver, the right one is Cupal.
