New member here! I've seen a skull cap for sale on a dealer's website, and just wondering what people's thoughts are? Being sold as a Deschler (with a pin missing though)

Oh, OK - what are the telltale signs?

it is fat, heavy construction, on the front has projections reveal that cast, besides little definition and bad proportions.
rear screams a cast fake , in all latitude and longuitude of the "scull".

I am not sure of the second example either...another ant, you are quick to rush in and make statements and are often proven wrong. To me, the variation in edge thickness of the second example says 'cast' also. Do you wish to reconsider your validation with some reasoning perhaps? I am happy to learn if the example is indeed good.

the first one is a known "bendable" fake skull, the second is good as said above
