The thing has no markings on the back. Why this is so is beyond me. What I do know, though, is what some out there who write about these things is all claptrap.

you are correct sir. apart from a couple of bent prongs the thing is devoid of markings. the boys in black turned this skeletal structure into the most chilling and sinister image of all time.
Thanks for the intervention. What gives me the heebie jeebies is anti knowledge on line about aspects of III. Reich regalia that are just made up.
Knowledge should have a foundation in evidence, and the evidence should be of a kind that can interpreted openly by many persons in the task.
That is not what we get so often with these things. We get conjecture and a lot of nonsense.
In case my point is too subtle, and how can it be since I have made it only five thousand times since this site opened in 2008, but evidence looks like this:
These are the people who had the evidence, you see, but you cannot speak to them anymore.
