    I had no idea these even existed --- is this an Aluminium skull?

    Thanks FB. I am happy that I can afford these insignias from time to time.
    A nice hat will be for in the future when my house is fully renovated. Still got time... :-)

    I know. People in the collectorcommunity tend to call them 'unmarked Deschlers' because of their resemblenses with real Deschlers M1/52's.
    But indeed... who said these were made by Deschler & Sohn...? Who's gonna say it?

    Who knows? It is not even important. All that matters is it is authentic, and yours is. Bravo.

    The unknown unknowns about these badges are far greater than the putative collector rules and check lists.
