    Hello,
From the pics provided it looks like a salty multi-repaired original WSS tunic. Good luck to find matching insignia, it wont be an easy task.

Just one more reason to acknowledge it as a real uniform. SS people had to be 'perfect men', so they had to be long and strong. I'm jealous of kilan for having that jacket.

As I can say the M42 and 43 tunics war more simplified and made by a cheap workshops, mostly in the Concentration camps. The Wehrmacht uniforms in that case was mostly made by different civil firms, and was better in quality. War time SS suply was not the same as pre war for SS VT troops. Some of the SS volunteers units was equipped with 3 category of supply, which is f.example 20 div SS recieve Gebirgsjaeger wende jacken for use not in the mountains of cause. 33 Ausbildung Regiment in training in territory of Estonia recieved second-hand SS TK overcoats and black M34 caps+ some of the black tunics....

Good catch on this one. The arms appear longer because the German tunic was designed to make the german soldier look taller. high waist, short cut and very trim. I believe Hugo Boss was responsible for the original design of what IMHO is one of the nicest military designs of all time.

    Cheers,

    Asper
