I know little to nothing about Freikorps regalia, but the cap at hand looks like a Deutsches Rotes Kreuz cap, but I am not absolutely certain.
Again, Lumsden knows about such things, but he does not post here any longer. Maybe Wim Saris can add a word here of merit.

Love, love, and love the skulls. The totenkopf is my favorite piece of insignia of all time. Such a nice collection of very rare (I am not one to use that term much) items; such a variety. Bravo!
