You can see the VA issuance stamp, as well as the leather goods (HB 37) stamp and the RZM tag which I believe came into use at this time, as well.
The RFSS tag emerged in 1934 and also is not seen much after 1937 or 1938.

This kind of tag is faked, by the way.

1937 and its markings in caps.1937 and its markings in caps. The cap is on the right, it was that of an SSTV officer and the buttons are marked 1937. The cap on the left is in the Shea Beaver book and I sold it. It looks much better in the book than it did in real life.

The cap on the right is not without signs of time, but it is still a nice piece, because of its SSTV aspect, it is then pretty rare.

Thank you F.B. for sharing these pictures and your insights. It is my hope to purchase such an item in the not-too-distant future. My delay is to enhance my knowledge in the meantime. Your posts on these items are invaluable. I hope that when the time is right I will make a correct and informed decision. I can appreciate that nothing compares to actually examining items in hand, but these pictures go as close as one could ever ask.
    regards. Paul
