Please notice the Hersteller number in this RZM/SS tag in a black cap.

The Hersteller: Adolf Ernst, Hannover (West oder Ost....oder Nord) but there is the additional "35" here, which I assume means the year....?

another example in a similar cap..... you can see that this cap was retailed by the RZM, which was frequently the case in caps of the era 1934/5. Also, the sweatband is dated, too.

The enlisted cap pictured above is to go under the hammer on the Burrmeister/Gottlieb/Maederer/Wolfe website. This particular fact does not compel me to post this image, rather, but my own arcane and twisted interest in these little bits of cloth.

Does someone have a similar tag with a Hersteller number that seems also to have a date? I do not think there was a cap maker 535 for SS caps of this kind, at least I have never seen such a thing...but I am always open to surprises.

The Isken cap above...it is a Sonderanfertigung for an officer ca. 1935. This cap was sold in about 2002/3...

The hat maker that had the licence A2/535 was Julius Denecke of Burgdorf. I would doubt that the tag is for them. It certainly looks like 5 followed by the date.
