Do let me ask why you surmise this is a fake from the 1980s?

I think this is an ex Czech theater or film Fundus cap to which someone added a cloth peak.

The core of the cap is authentic, I think, as far as the pictures go.

There was indeed an SS field cap, with a cloth peak, but I do not think this is one.
    damit, basta.

If the cloth peak is of the epoch, then maybe it is a real field cap, and it would be notable.

In any case, no one can tell from the images.

The peaks were replaced in the epoch, by the way.
    damit, basta.

The Trikotage textile you enclose appears of the epoch, as well.

ID:	652346Dozens of these were extracted from Czech treasure troves in the final gasp of socialism and in the transition a quarter of a century ago in central Europe.

I own an ex Barrandov officer's cap, of which I am intensely proud.

it is here in the front of my silly picture.
    damit, basta.

Velen is also a suitably Bohemian kind of name, too, is it not?

The Czech recycled SS caps I have seen often have Czech names in them, which I assume are from Komparsen and actors and such.
    damit, basta.

Size: 31.4 KBBlack SS caps were reworked in the epoch to elevate the NCO enlisted cap to the officer's cap.

The one on the right is a Sudetenland, that is, Bohemian production, actually.
    damit, basta.
