Simply superb cap. This is the first original black general's cap I have seen, and probably the nicest I will ever see.
Thanks to you and your friend for sharing it with us!
Cheers, Pat

Oh jesus! A black generals cap
That is a true beauty! Thank you very much for sharing it here on this lovely forum
Friedrich could you post a few images of the same type of cap..but with silver cord? I have seen this only once being worn by a General by the name Heinrich von Maur. I know the white piping is more common than the thinner silver cord. I seen these photos coming from SS Sturmbannfuher Hugo Prechter photo collection and as Maurs adjutant. If there is a thread with the silver piping that I may have missed my apologies..but I would be curious to see one up close and in color than in the black and white photos. In Prechters photos it is noticeable that the cord is thinner and not as bright as the standard SS officers thicker white cord. Cordial Regards Larry

Such a senior leader cap in wear. Otto Dietrich, head of press in the party and state.
By "cord" you refer to the Muetzenkordel or to the Paspel, i.e. the chin strap or the cap piping?
Hello Friedrich.,,my apologies the cap piping. Would you have one of these examples in your collection for us to see? Regards Larry
