This item was on Whammond's site in the intermediate past. It is a nicely made coat with tailor's marks of a superior garment. I likely should have gotten it, but I was fatigued.

As we have no idea what the source was of the mantel that started this thread, it is impossible to answer your question as it lack any insignia or markings that can identify it. I certainly concur with my colleagues that this is not a black SS mantel.
