    Although I've always had an interest in militaria, I was still in high school in NYC then and more interested in chasing skirts than memorabilia.

    A little wiser now....

    The article is great, the bell bottoms not-so-much! Though they are making a comeback for some reason. Can't believe that's almost 40 years ago already Wish some of these wares were found at these prices still. Thanks for the read.

    Article from 1977 on Nazi regalia trade.Nazi material I bought from Manion in 1978, the two black peaked caps. One I still own, the Sonderanfertigung.

    Thanks FB. These definitely were the 'good old days'. Fakes were
    starting to appear in greater numbers - although very poor in
    quality, but prices for original stuff was reasonably
    sane back then.........

    Here is a scan of an article from the Surrey Comet (December 12th 1970). From my perspective, it gives interesting information about prices and trends at the time. Sorry I had to scan it in 3 parts, whoever scanned it originally did so on awkward sized paper that does not fit my scanner.
