Authentic SS Membership Pin?

Hello everyone,

I have a feeling that this is very much a fake. I have never seen any of these in any archival photographs nor documents/ list of issued kit from years of research however in case I am wrong, would someone be able to verify if this SS Membership badge is real or fake?

Hi, thanks for posting but I´ve heard that the coffin shaped pin plate is a big NO with these. The runes look bad too. That said I would not touch this one.

Not original, as Jan said, coffin shaped pin attachments were not used during the Third Reich.

Also, the closest original item to this would be the SS Zivilabzeichen (SS-ZA) , for wear on civilian clothes. These were manufactured with the long stick pin attachment and GES GESCH stamped.
