Original thread will burn away to ash: modern synthetic thread will burn to a hard little plastic ball.

I did the burn test on a "Totenkopf" bevo cufftitle and it completely burned to ashes like you said, I know now that it was an original
Next time I'll do the ultra violet test, then I still will have the cufftitle.

Good stuff!Thank you!!
Thanks Ade for this thread !!!!
Is possible a new thread for all where show the differences between a fake and an original SS Tabs ( runes and totenkopf, Dachau, pre-mid-late war, the embroidery, material, etc etc etc ) ?
Cheers.

Hi, I've got a Hohenstaufen cuff title, but the border threads run vertical not horizontal, were there any variations like this?
Hi sandman401 and welcome to the forum! Make a new thread and post pictures of the cuff title instead. Then it´s easier to tell if it´s original or a repro.
Thanks, I will do that
And here comes the ORIGINAL BEVO. No fake !
From january 1936
A shameless bump for this thread as folks keep missing it. But I have added another period advert for the company.
Cheers, Ade.
