Based upon this thread, I believe the pictured SS Cuff Title to be a fake. Would you concur? I have a chance to purchase it at an auction. Lastly, if you believe it is real, what might be the value? I have no other pictures.

This is NOT a "Bevo" machine woven cuff title. This is an RZM pattern and is fake.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Adrian,

Thank you my friend. I won't even bother with the rest of the WWII SS stuff in the auction. This is an outstanding thread.

Incidentally, in September, 2013, I will have the honor escorting a veteran of the 86th Division (Blacks Hawks) through Southern Germany and Austria. During this period we will be visiting areas where he previously fought. This gentleman was at Berschgarten two days after it was taken by the 101st. His scrapbook contains several items from the local SS barracks and he notes that "Goering's toothpaste was still on the bathroom sink". We will be staying in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and Salzburg. Are there any must see places you would recommend we visit? I am also considering opening a thread on the question. Do you think that would be of benefit?

Yes, please start a new thread. Sounds interesting.

We have some good threads on "must see" places to visit in Europe. Checkout the "After the Battle" forum.

    Cheers, Ade.

Yes it's fake and please ask sellers for proper photos. Would you buy a car with blurry photos?
Your just catering to those who take advantage of hopeful collectors. With all due respect.

also, why corrupt an information thread with an "is it real" post? This should be in its own thread.

It's also worth mentoning that one form of the BEVO Frundsberg Cuff Title is different from the other BEVO Style Cuff Titles. Look at the backside. There is a fat line on the boarder not the small White dots and on the front side the so called sawtooth edge is also a Little bit different if you compare it to other Cuff Titles in BEVO style.
