Thanks. Mr. JHAM, you are a pillar of our group. I guess I am the sole dog owner in this lot. Very novel and unexpected. There is merit to the human side of our interaction, I think. The fussing about stitches and prongs hardens my heart, really, and that should not be.

Cats are the pets of introverts, and I have never met a particularly extroverted militaria collector. I'm sure it's much deeper than that, but it's still cool to think about.

Here is my cap, whose serial number is 246889, that is, 91 caps before the Shea one (see tag). Its shape is different, but its interior the same. I did not pay USD 9250 for it, either....mine looks as if was worn, but not worn out. It is in fine condition.

In the 1990s these caps cost USD 1200 and then they cost USD 2500 and on up, but I do not know what they really cost, in practice.

Others of you know, but the price is not my thing.
