I saw this as well. It is absolutely spectacular, everything one would expert to see in an original.
There are other items on his update that should be noted, too, such as the early LAH collar tab which was purchased by one of our forum members.

Y-C, I know the member and collar tab you are referring to..
As for the mantel, It appears to be a good one.
That said, this one image, taken from afar is not nearly enough to authenticate such an item. However, I trust my colleague, YouthCollector if he thinks its okay and has seen it before on a respected site.

It is impossible to authenticate insignia to a garment from pictures. Even with a hands on inspection, if a coat is restored with proper materials, there is no way to tell. items certainly can appear for the first time after 68 years since the end of the war. Grandchildren in Germany and Austria sell off items that the original owner and his children kept dear. Things are also found by people who clean out houses. It still happens on a regular basis.

Here's a edited image of the va stamp, although the quality isn't that good it is all that is available.

The item is, as I understand it, restored. I believe the asking price is fair, but, who knows what these things really go for.

If that is so, IMO it is only worth the sum of its parts, and therefore, is over priced at almost $16,000usd.

You betcha. That's what he wants for the thing? Donnerwetter.

Real SSVT and especially SSTV things are seldom found, and they need some provenance to make sense.
