Ok so to be clear, originals have the misprint ( white edge between dot and next color) but fakes do not have this flaw? ... otherwise the new fakes are as good as originals.

    Yes?

Hi Dan, I used to be a type setter in the printing industry in the 1990's. We printed packaging, paper bags, poly carrier bags, bread wrappers , etc. We call this type of misprint as being "out of register".

Some originals exhibit this. Not all of course. Most likely down to a semi skilled labour force.

I don't study fakes. But I cannot recall seeing this on fakes/re-enactor items. But I would not trust this feature alone. Everything needs to be examined as a whole.

    Cheers, Ade.

In the past, many complete new uniforms were sold in Stuttgart Börse, the price was small and the condition, mint.
When I bought my dot 44 uniform, the seller had 20 to sell.
