Hi, Actually, that is why this place is such a find, there is a goldmine of knowledge and images here. A very important part of this hobby, research and study. I find that I learn more when I do the work, but sometimes a little help from a trusted source is nice. Not always fun, and once in a while down right frustrating, its a crazy hobby we all share.

Kevin, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders, and since you take the time to do your own research AND reach out to the community for help when you're not sure, I'm sure you'll go far in this hobby and pick up some great pieces.

The first time I saw an eagle like this with the mesh backing, I was confused, too. Here are some photos of an authentic eagle just like yours. Happy collecting!
