Bayreuth
What link does the above place have with Nazi cultural symbolism?
-
Of course, Sta. 41 is associated with more than just Bayreuth...

Angolia lists Bayreuth as the location of Sta. 41 and, while not incorrect, isn't quite inclusive, either.
The Forum der Wermacht is a nice resource.

Thank you Sir for sharing this collar tab from your collection.

My pleasure, thanks for asking. Hopefully someone who knows more about these things than I do can elaborate on the Hersteller.
All the best~

Very nice collar patches in their virginal state. As ever Dr CMH's things are pleasant to see.

I think there was only one A4-list and so 349 = Wilhelm Schmal from Bochum
(in later years Wilhelm Schmal Junior).
The complete list of A4-manufacturers is covered in my handbook for the HJ.
According to "Anschriften-Verzeichnis der Schutstaffeln der NSDAP" from
October 1, 1937 the headquarters for Standarte 41 are Bayreuth.
The headquarters for Abschnitt XXVIII is also at Bayreuth, but with a
different address.
