    The coffin shaped pin applies to all Third Reich pins. Coffin = fake. It is an easy way to eliminate a lot of fakes. Welcome to the forum.

    The shape of the pin mounting plate is shaped like a coffin. Anytime you see this you can be sure it is a reproduction.

    The "coffin-shaped" plate with which the pin is affixed to the badge. Pin plates of this shape are not found on period badges.
