Originally there was what appeared to be a reproduction shoulder-board with the classic Dachau "D" embroidered onto it: his request was whether it was authentic or not...which I believe it wasn't.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as a "D for Dachau" shoulder board.
A Gothic "D" device was worn by the SSVT's "Deutschland" regiment. The cypher seen in the above photograph is the Gothic "T" for the SSTV's "Thüringen".

By leaving the photo, it can be referred to at a later date by others. By removing the photo, this becomes a useless thread.
