Havent got it in my hands yet, but approx 2 cm:s i think.

The rune is exactly 2,5 cm:s in length (the prongs NOT included). Doesnt look like a standard piece. The backpart is govered with thin coat of some brownish residue.

Found a propable match, it seems Latvian SS volonteers made their metal SS runes locally. Mystery solved or... Sure would fit for the area this one was found.

Jan i thought these pieces were found at Narva ? If so the Latvians wern't there !!

Some of the eastern volunteers made them at trench lines. Most widely seen on the Latvian wolunteer tunics. I have also 15 Div d SS, handmade swastika

it was normal practise for Latvian legioneers to made such runes.different types.many period time photos shows that wery offten.nothing uncommon,but NICE
