The first enclosure is more or less the norm, but the second is a wholly original and highly rare item from 1935/6.
Strange that they would design a coat with a specific half belt at the rear and then allow another type to be worn ?
Is the second coat shown a private purchase item?
Not strange at all if you read all the RZM and SS circulars. The fact is that these uniforms were not as uniform as many collectors wrongly believe.by Bochmann
The second coat is an issue item. I have included its details many times.

and German uniforms have long been fairly non uniform for a great while.
This non-uniformity has a poetry all its own.
