Very nice.
Very nice.
Thank you to both FB and Mr. Delich for sharing this collection. There are a few in there I see a lot of around and many more I don't see much of at all. It's always a learning experience.
stunning collection i only wish when i was collecting foreign volunteer tabs i could have amassed such a great collection.
Thanks Friedrich and Dave
Cheers
Dave.
Mr. Delich set to work on all of this in the 1950s and was at the right place at the right time. We thank him that he shares his labor with us all here.
The point of showing this is not about you and me in cosmic sense of ownership and value or the very real limits in all our lives.
The point is our site enables us all to be richer to see and analyze things, which in the 1950s, or for me, a few years later, would have been unbelievable and science fiction.
The older persons here will presently give up what they own and it all will be rearranged.
Better that this process unfolds in a collegial way and with knowledge.
How much worse would we all be without such knowledge and without the chance to see all these things and to debate and analyze their meaning.
Such things keep their secrets to themselves without much effort to unlock them.
Thank you FB for sharing this photo of Mr. Delich's collection. I will reference this photo I'm sure in the future.
The one on the left with the "ET" is for the Efterretningstjeneste [intelligence service] of the Danish Schalburg-Korps, also worn by the Danish HIPO [auxiliary police] which originated from this service.
The one on the right with the three stars is for the 15. Waffen-Grenadier Division der SS (Lettische Nr. 1).
Good to see that FB is still watching over us ........
