    Recently purchased an assortment of German WWII insignia from an estate with some items labeled and some not such as this bullion on wool Dutch shield. Measures 2.0" x 1.55". Looks small to be a sleeve shield but I'm new to German militaria and would appreciate any help identifying. Thank you-

    It doesn't look like anything SS related, from the the style of manufacture and embroidery, I'd say WWI or before.
