    While Army-model enlisted men's shoulder boards for wear with the black tankers' uniform were made of black cloth, Heer officer boards never had a secondary black underlay, regardless of the uniform they were worn on.

    This black underlay was only used on Waffen-SS shoulder boards as a feature distinguishing them from Heer insignia.

    Rank is Obersturmführer.

    As stated above, yours are IMO good Waffen SS officers shoulderboards for the Panzertruppen Unit
    The one I posted is an example of a Untersturmfuher (Lieutnant) Rank

    Can you please tell me what it is that attributes either set of these boards to the LAH? The Waffen SS had many panzer units.
