The girls I fancied when in grammar school looked like Lindsay Lohan, ca. 1965 or so. Hence my fondness for her, I guess. You know the male menopause makes these memories more powerful and the longing in the present more tragic. The RZM license for this firm was D (Dienstkleidung) 2 (Kleiderfabrik) 60218. As of early 1935, contractors for the RZM were forbidden to include their logos in their production. Boss was apparently a party contractor from a very early date. I bought a Boss three piece suit recently at no small cost, but it is not made especially well. I am sure the Erbprinz would still not hold my coat, unless I was being put on the train for the Generalgouvernement.
The happy go lucky of corporate image of Boss today squares poorly with the past, but such is also true for other prestige Marken as Daimler Benz, BMW, and others, surely. I surely do not think that memorabilia from Halliburton or such others will ever be worthy of collections in decades to come.

What fantastic irony of history the poor Fuerst suffered. To be tried in Court for ordering the execution of Standartenfuehrer Koch, who as Kdtr. of KZL Buchenwald ordered unauthorized executions. What could Koch have been thinking? Perhaps the Syphilis was making him mad.

You are quite right. This kind of thing makes history so compelling. The image of the Koch family is as good as your SS grinch. That is also a very nice peaked cap. One thing leads to another with SS regalia, that's for sure. Ilse looks rather pleased with herself in such SS family bliss, including the deutscher Dogge. It all started with "Fulda Werra".....thanks for the nice images. Women in the III. Reich is always an interesting theme in itself.
