Fulda Werra tunic

Article about: The involvement with foetid woolens leads to all kinds of arcane and useless information. There is even an Allgemeine SS page in facebook, but I shall engage this medium. Pi pa po.

Thank you for the Literary Empfehlen, I will put it's acquisition on my List. Femme Fatales? Fact from Fiction? Exploitation of Inmates for purely personal gain? Cheating Pohl's Accountants? Offending the RFSS?

A nice photo essay. I think that Ilse Koch was an example of many, but the Gudrun Schwarz book rather explains how the SS wives fit within the whole of the SS, without the over the top quality of the Koch family. Sister Pia, though, represented a case that operated in the realm of the Koch's. But if you deepen yourself in the SS Befehlsblaetter, you will see that getting into trouble in the SS was rather the rule than the exception.

When you read the Dienstalterlisten from the years prior to the war, the number of officer chucked out for whatever reason was quite long.
I wonder what happened to their old clothes?

The Befehlsblaetter also make clear, that these Nazis also misplaced their valuable regalia on a regular basis, i.e. their edged weapons, stick pins and such.

Yes indeed, several Months ago when the Grinch's SS Visor was purchased from the Veteran's Family, I decided to research the Officer's Name I had found in the Hat. Curiosity got the better of me, so to speak.

I imagined a dashing young SS Officer who served in the Totenkopfverbaende and then fell a Hero's death at Demjansk with Haupstuermfuehrer Seela. Visions of him running around and throwing satchels of Grenades on the Engine Decks of Tanks soon evaporated when the Research discovered this picture in his File.....the deal had been struck I could not get a price reduction on this Clemens Wagner formerly owned by this somewhat portly over costumed porker! Another unimportant Cog in the Machine, who knows where he went. Off into the Heer to cook Sausages? I have no idea. Weg !

Thanks for the information on your cap. It still looks like a nice cap, all the same. One has to be realistic about these things, in fact. The SSTV officer corps was a pretty tiny entity in the greater scheme of things, in the years say 1935 until 1938. The good thing about the SS Stammrollenkarte is that it contains the person's cap size, which makes such research more effective when one has the cap in hand. One also needs the instrument I enclose here, the cap size measure....Fulda Werra tunic

The cap measure is a more arcane piece of German regalia, to be sure. I stumbled across it, but I am fond of it all the same.
That is a nice picture of Eicke and the Tabakkollegium.
Elenore Baur was quite a piece of work, actually. She is on the march here with her fellow Blutordenstraeger.
