Default A gift........ what do you think?

After showing a friend a dagger I have ... he told me about an ashtray that was left to him in a box of things from his father.. He showed it to me and gave it to me as a gift...
I'm not sure .. cause it's old.. but as I've learned that "old" doesnt mean real.
I've searched the web for answers.. I'm not thinking this item was "official" but could it be period? or just another fantasy.... either way I'm keeping it cause it was a gift, But I'd like to hear all of your opinions.
I've given the 2 stamps on the back a scrub so you can see better.

    Thank you in advance,
    Regards,
    Shaun.

I don't like it. I don't think that the SS hierachy would be too pleased with folks stubbing their dog ends out on their official symbol.

It appears to have been recently stamped and then left on a humid place to oxidate.
    I also dont like it.
    Cheers.
