I'm still waiting for the right Grey Officer cap. At the time i have only my 2 NCO Caps but both are rare examples.

Very nice. Yours is the cap that Ben restored? He is a very fine craftsman.

A pleasing photo. Are they not posing on the Orangerie/ Schloss Sanssouci in Potsdam in the direction of Werder from town? Also an image that shows the wear of items contrary to regulations, i.e. field cap as a walking out cap and so forth.

    Thank you.

It is indeed Potsdam. It's written on the back of the Picture and a lot of other Information added by the former owner of this picture.

Thanks. Sorry to be a scold. They went from Doeberitz to see Potsdam. I spend a lot of time there, in fact.

    A wonderful image.

I wonder how many of them survived?

    Dear Mr. Berthold.
Thank you for your help to identify the place of the Picture and for the translation - I'm not that good with reading the old german Hand writing - now i can read (hope that's right):

"Zur Erinnerung an den Truppenübungsplatz Döberitz. (August 1938) Podsdam Schloss Sansouci - Harry" - Harry was the former owner of this Picture. He served later in the Division Wiking Aufklärungsabteilung 5. I have several Pictures from him showing battles in France, Poland and later Russia, his SS Führerschein, several other papers a and a copy of his Soldbuch. He survived the war.
