I am looking for opinions on this SS Tab. The front looks good but I have not seen one that looks like this one on the back. Uniform removed? Repaired? Reproduction? Thank you all in advance!

It think it has been repaired with a new card backing.

How do you feel about it being period done? It looks like the same carboard backing as some of the late war Dachau Bevo tabs.

My Great Uncle Toffik Ramsay, who was a Hitler youth during the war, currently has a pair and the front looks same as yours,IMO. Good luck !

The collar tab is original. It is difficult to know exactly when the cardboard backing was added.

Thank you for your comment Bob, after looking at it close and compairing it to my other more run of the mill tab I see some minor differences. This tab has a slightly softer fabric and the stitching is slightly more raised as well as detailed. I was wondering Bob if you would not mind me sending you this tab so you could examine it in person. It is up to you but I dont do well with my "investigatoins" until I am able to get to the bottom of it all.
